My name is Alena and I am a cake smash, maternity, and family portrait photographer based in Leiden, Leiderdorp.
I am also a mom of 2 boys. I am also a volunteer in the Early Birds Stichting, where we take photos of prematurely born babies in the hospital.
You can book me for cake smash, baby photoshoots, maternity photoshoots, family photoshoots, newborn photoshoots, portraits, and makeover photoshoots.
As much as I like to take photos, I love to create new settings. Especially cake smash photoshoots offer me to unleash my creativity.
My home studio is based in Leiden (Leiderdorp). It is designed to attract families, individuals, and entrepreneurs. I am here for everyone who is looking for a photographer with an energetic, modern style to capture all the special moments.

As a former daycare teacher and a mom of the children, I have many years of experience working with children. My sessions are playful and focused on your children having fun. There is always enough time for your babies and children to get ready before the session. My home studio creates a like-home & relaxed atmosphere where you and your kids will feel comfortable.
Professional
You can trust that you are in good hands when you come for a photoshoot with me. I have a newborn safety and posing course. I work with professional equipment and I have followed many workshops and education courses regarding portrait photography I still do follow trends and courses to perfect my craft. I know how to work with babies and kids and I will also help you with posing and feeling comfortable in front of the camera.
Flexible
I know how unexpected life can sometimes be. I am a mom myself, and when you need to be somewhere on time, there are many things happening right before you need to leave your home. When booking a session with me we will choose the best time for you and your babies. In case of illness, we find you a different date for your photoshoot. I do not charge any extra costs for rescheduling your photoshoot.
Creative
Creativity is my passion. Therefore, I am excited to hear all your ideas and create unique photos for you. Would you like to have simple “baby-focused” photoshoots? Or do you prefer a colorful, playful setting with thousands of balloons and bubbles? Would you like to have your photos taken outside? Do you like light and airy family photos or dark and moody photos? Anything is possible and I am here to make the photos for you you will love.
